Goodness, today Joshua is 6 months old. I'm both excited and a little sad, it does seem time is flying by us! We had a fun day today by going to lunch with Mike and also going to the pool, Mike was off early so he got to join in the fun and we met some friends there, too. The water was chilly and Noah was quite the water baby not wanting to stay out so we left after about an hour or hour and a half. Josh sat on the edge with Mike or me but it was a bit chilly in the water for me to want him in. Tonight we have Bible study, the kids are going to be here from now on with various sets of parents, not our turn tonight though so we'll be enjoying the study! On other random thoughts before we get to Josh, Noah has grown an inch since his birthday...we had him stand against his growth chart on Wed. night, we also had him to do this on his birthday and he's an inch taller! I thought he might be growing, but didn't think it was going to be that much! Check out the Kodak site for lots of pictures from the pool...but now on to Josh!
So Josh is 6 months old...he weights 16 lbs 13 oz...quite the big boy but only in the 53% for weight, he is also 25 1/2 inches long, making him only in the 32% for height (poor kids, wonder if either of them will get some tallness from Mike's side of the family!). His head seems more normal than Noah's too, only at 49%. As far as how he's growing and developing, he's meeting all the milestones except rolling from back to belly but again we think that is stubborness and not ability =). He is eating lots of food now, up to three meals a day of solids and enjoys lots of variety of fruit and veggies. His favorite seems to be carrots and apples. This next week we'll try introducing some chicken in his baby food and see how he does. He is also eating those puff things now that Gerber makes and enjoys them. His favorite things to do seem to be outside, going for walks, sitting outside, and being in his exersaucer outside. It is nice that he enjoys being out so much! He is getting to be very talkative and jabbers up a storm at everyone, he loves attention and is becoming a bit of a flirt I think. This morning he sat the entire time we were at the grocery store in the cart, and squealed at everyone to get their attention - which he got. So he's doing great, he's just a very happy, happy boy! We love it, a month and a half of happiness makes things so wonderful! He also still loves to play peek-a-boo! Sorry this is rushed, dinner is done and we have 20 minutes to get dinner done and cleaned up! Love you all!
