Date Night

Whoohoo for a date night!  Mike and I are feeling truly blessed by the Give Parents a Break program.  We'd used it at Offutt while Mike was deployed, it is something they do for deployed families.  We also found out that if you have a child who has an IEP or IFSP you can also qualify.  At first, honestly, I felt a bit guilty using the program...but then the purpose is to help relieve some of the stress that is associated with having deployments or having an exceptional family member.  So now we are using it and just be incredibly thankful for that blessing.  We have tried to ensure that we use the time for us...trying not to run errands and such.  Tonight we had dinner at the Eiffel Tower Restaurant that is at the Paris Hotel.   The food was good, the view was really good and so was the service.  I, of course tucked the camera in my purse hoping we'd get a table with a view of the fountains.  The timing was perfect too, we got to watch the sun set.  Such a  nice date and the kids all had a really great time playing at the CDC!

Dessert - the chocolate plate - and yes it was good!

Glad you had a good time, you deserve some time out! :) Our local Y does parents night out once a month, and with no family/babysitters here, we are going to take advantage of that next month! It's good that the kids enjoy themselves too, helps lessen the worry a little of leaving them.
